Run to Catch the Moon

Lovers run to catch the moon
Warm hands always close to reach.
Un tethered cottontail clouds leap
Falling hard for each.

Lucky stars blaze the sky
Cactus petals crinkly and new.
Take me as dawn softens the night
Moon sinks beneath the hill out of view.

One more step then we leap
Dreamers set on being true.
They jumped together
Through a sky of blue.

Cottontail clouds un tethered together leap
Together those dreamers awaken from their sleep.
