Earth Dreamers

Long she has been dreaming
On the edge of those desert waters.
Her roots grow to the songs of her grandmothers
Her pine boughs reach for the dreams of her daughters.

Long he has been dreaming
As the breeze dance the green grasses.
His spirit twin Deer runs the length of the hills
From the desert floor to the mountain passes.

Those two cheek to cheek
Bless that land with their prayers.
Above the mountain rain clouds play
Floating like feathers in the air.

Face to face foot to foot they lay
Water bird finds our hearts that way.
